Stress is recognised by insurance and compensation
organisations as the disease of the 20th century. In this ever changing world, more and more people are
succumbing to stress related problems associated with their
professional and personal lives.
This workshop aims to help participants identify their sources
of stress through self assessment and reflection.
Also, during the workshop, participants will practise
techniques for reducing the effects of stress in situations that they
are unable to control.
WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS COURSE?Anyone who would like to manage their stress levels in a productive
manner.
COURSE AIMSTo provide participants with the knowledge and skills to enable them
to avoid stressful situations that they have control over, or
neutralise the effects of stressful situations they are unable to
control. LEARNING OUTCOMES1. Demonstrate
an understanding of the origins and effects of stress. WHAT LEARNING METHODS ARE USED TO ACHIEVE THE OUTCOMES?All exercises and learning techniques used during this workshop have
been chosen with the adult learner in mind.
Exercises are problem centred and discussion and syndicate work
is used as a vehicle for participants to reflect on their own
experiences.
