This course is for Business Management and/or Information Technology (IT) Staff. 

It is presented in two segments:

- Project Planning and Control (PPC) Days 1-3
- Interpersonal Skills (IPS) Days 4-5.

These can be taken separately if desired.  

PRACTICAL MANAGEMENT FROM PLANNING TO COMPLETION

Managing projects which meet corporate objectives, fit specifications, and meet time and expenditure budgets is vital to success in today’s competitive environment.  Managers and those aspiring to be managers must prepare themselves fully for the challenges of initiating, planning and managing projects which result in significant changes in the way in which the organisation functions.  This intense workshop provides the essential preparation for practical and professional project management. This course rates 30 PCP accreditation points with the Australian Computer Society. 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

To enable those involved in controlling projects to learn and practice techniques and skills vital to success.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Those controlling, or likely to be controlling, projects.  Analysts, Programmers and Business staff about to assume supervisory responsibility for development teams.  Non-technical users who have, or will have, charge or co-responsibility for development projects.

Day 1      Planning the Project:
